Well over 300 people attended the special event and the sanctuary was filled to capacity. Honoree Maxine Tankersley, visibly moved by the number of friends and family in attendance, thanked and told the congregation that she felt like ‘Miss America’. On that day, she certainly was!

The many descendants of College Mound pioneers Patrick Steven Hogan and Seth Bell Liston families are using the 133rd Decoration Day as the backdrop for this noteworthy gathering. At the conclusion of the Day’s activities, the families will gather in the Fellowship Hall for continued fellowship. Spread the word!
