The first honoree in the history of Decoration Day, Maxine Tankersley has been a part of the College Mound narrative for 83 years. Maxine Tankersley has embodied the legendary community spirit of College Mound and it is our privilege to honor her and express our gratitude for all she has done for College Mound Church and its historic cemetery.
